Micromax A85: Answer to Samsung Galaxy S2

Micromax's latest phone that is making headlines is the Superphone A85. This Android 2.3 Gingerbread based smartphone will feature gesture-based controls and is targeted at the high-end users.
According to The Mobile Indian's interview with someone familiar with the development of the phone, the Micromax A85 will most likely feature an 8 megapixel camera and will be launched by year end at a price ranging between Rs 15,000 to Rs 18,000 in India.

As for the specifications, the A85 will feature an over-clocked dual-core Nvidia Tegra T20 processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. The specs sheet on the gsmarena page states that the phone will feature a 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen and 8 GB onboard storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD cards.
With Micromax's wacky advertising strategies, aggressive pricing and the decent set of features, let us wait and watch if the A85 actually manages to provide tough competition to the Galaxy S2, LG Optimus 2X and HTC Sensation.
